How time off policies match to employees

Once you create a time off type with policies (select usage "Track with accrual policies"), the policies automatically apply to employees according to the rules* you set.
Tip: We advise you to start from the top with the most general policies (the ones that apply to the majority) and continue with the most particular ones.

  • Starting from the top, each matching policy overwrites the previous one.
  • You may drag & drop rows in order to reorder your policies and review the matching employees in each case.
  • In case employees match to more than one policy, the system will calculate allowance days according to the last matching policy

*Rules:
- Employment Duration: Define if this policy applies to employees with specific tenure i.e. less than 1 year or more than 1 year & less than 10 (based on their "Start day" of their hire).

- Total Work Experience: Define if this policy applies to employees with specific work experience (in current & previous employers) i.e. employees with total work experience more than 12 years (based on their "Previous Work Experience" in their profile).

- Give all days in advance: Check this option if you want total annual allowance to be available in advance. Otherwise the number of days accrued will increase with the employee's tenure i.e if the total annual allowance is 24 days and an employee works for 1 month, they will have 2 available days. In case you select "Give all days in Advance" they will have 24 available days since their first day,
