What employees' status mean (active-inactive-pending-onboarding)
Employee Status:describes the situation of an employee’s account within k.people.
Active: An employee is considered active when she/he has a valid date of hire and holds a position within the company (a valid date means the current or previous date; if an employee has a future hire date, then her/his status will be active when the future date comes; till then they will be considered as "Onboarding").
Inactive: An employee is considered inactive when she/he has a valid end hiring date.
Onboarding: An employee with a future hiring date and a position.
Pending: An employee with neither a valid nor future hiring date or position. Pending employees usually are new employees whose hiring details are currently missing, so they are to be hired, i.e., a newcomer whose first day is not defined yet.
Further examples:
- An employee who resigned last month: inactive
- An employee who is to be fired/resigned by the end of the month: current status = active, last day of month (end of day) will turn to inactive
- An employee just created in the k.people only with name/surname and email account (all other fields are empty), pending.
- An employee who will change position next month: current status = active, future status = active (status is not be affected by other profile updates apart from hiring/ end hiring date)
