🚀Release Notes #36 | 27th June 2023

✨ What’s New

Feature #1. Email settings

We added new settings configuration options for k.people users regarding system emails. In particular the admin user can now enable/disable system email related to time off action such as request time off, approve/reject and/or cancel a request. The Admin user have 3 available option per email:

- “Yes” means email will be sent and the receiver can not set different preferences via their email settings.

- “No” means email will not be sent and the receiver can not set different preferences via their email settings.

- “Up to user” means that by default the email will be sent unless the receiver selects not to.

On the other hand, employees have their own email settings via their account. Clicking on their user icon on the top right corner, there is an option for “Email settings” where the default options are formed based on the admin’s settings.

Employees can only activate/deactivate emails that the admin user has selected the “Up to user” option. For those emails that the admin user has set as an option to be sent / not to be sent, the employee can not change this preference.

Feature #2: Onboarding settings

The onboarding process is now configurable according to your needs as you requested. The admin user can now go to settings and click on “Onboarding Configuration” and manage the onboarding process.

In particular the admin user can configure:

A. The onboarding email that the onboarding employee will receive. The admin user can edit the email title and the body of the email. The text can be edited and also may include links to hanbooks, policies and/or any other related content.

Once the admin user sends the onboarding email to an employee, the employee receives the following email.

l

B. Following the onboarding email the admin user can configure the welcome message that the employee will see once they login in successfully.

And this is what the employee sees in the welcome page.

C. Finally the admin user may select which profile sections will be visible and editable for the employee during the onboarding process. The visible fields will be optional for the employee to fill in their details or to share documentation.

đź’ŽOptimization

The admin user can also edit the start of an employee’s hiring directly from the employee’s profile in the general tab and not only through the tab “Positions”. Also, if the employee holds an “End date” it can be edited or even clear via the general tab.
